Jewellery Classes at Bamba Beads
Bamba Beads run a variety of classes covering a range of different styles and techniques,starting at a beginners level and moving on to more advanced levels. As we run the classes every week the class sizes vary. We provide all the tools and findings you will need and you can choose from our large range of beads to make your jewellery unique! (beads not included in class price). You must book in advance for all classes and a deposit is neccessary to secure your place.

Beginners Beading Class
Skill Level: 1
When: Saturdays 9-11am
Cost: £20 plus cost of beads
Our beginners beading class is aimed at someone who wants to learn the basic techniques of beaded jewellery making.
In this class you will learn how to make:
- A pair of earrings using headpins and earring hooks
- A floating necklace using tigertail, crimp beads and attaching a clasp
- A leather pendant necklace, creating a pendant using a headpin and attaching it onto leather thong and learning how to attach a clasp using leather ends
- Bracelet on elastic, threading beads onto elastic and learning how to fasten securely

Beginners Wire Wrapping Class
Skill Level: 1
When: Tuesdays 6-8pm
Cost: £30 plus cost of beads
In this 2 hour class you will learn the basic techniques to get you started in wire wrapping jewellery.
In this class you will learn how to make:
- Wire wrapped pendants using different techniques
- A linked bracelet
- A pair of earrings

Intermediate Wire Wrapping Class
Skill Level: 1-2
When: Thursdays 6-8pm
Cost: £30 plus cost of beads
In this 2 hour class you will learn how to make:
- A bracelet with individual wire wrapped beads
- Two different wire wrapping ring techniques

Advanced Wire Wrapping Class
Skill Level: 2-3
When: Wednesdays 3-5pm
Cost: £30 plus cost of beads
In this 2 hour class you will learn how to make:
- 3 pendants with a decorative finish, which we will then hang from a leather thong
- Create leather ends to attach a clasp

Tiara Class
Skill Level: 2
When: Mondays 5-8pm
Cost £40 plus cost of beads
In this class you will learn the techniques of wrapping wire around a tiara or headband base, incorporating beads into your design. You will learn the basic techniques required to create your own beautiful designs. The silver plated wire and tiara/headband base are included in the price of the class.

Hair-Vine Class - Wire Wrapping
Skill Level: 2
When: Mondays 3-5pm
Cost: £30 plus cost of beads
This is an alternative to the traditional tiara, the hair vine is secured by using hair grips at either end. You will use wire wrapping techniques in this class to create a beautiful finished project. The silver plated wire is included in the price of the class.

Hair Grip Class - Wire Wrapping
Skill Level: 1
When: Fridays 6-7pm
Cost: £15 plus cost of beads
This is a lovely way to accessorise your hair, the hair grips slide into your hair around your hair style. In the class you will make a set of three grips with various styles to choose from. The grips and the silver plated wire are included in the price of the class.

Chainmaille Classes
When: Fridays 3-5pm
Cost: £30 plus cost of beads
Originally used for protection in battle, chainmaille techniques can be used to make decorative jewellery by simply linking jump-rings together to make a variety of weaves. The jump-rings and findings are included in the price of the class.

Beginners Class
Skill Level: 1
In this class we will cover the basics of using jump-rings and connecting clasps to chain. You will make a necklace and earring set using the 'Shaggy Loops' weave.

Intermediate Class
Skill Level: 2
In this class we will cover two different weaves. You will make a bracelet in the slinky 'Euro 4 in 1' weave and a pair of earrings in a Japanese cross weave.

Advanced Class
Skill Level: 2-3
In this class you will learn a weave called 'Byzantine', using segments of this weave separated with a bead or charm dangle you will create a matching bracelet and earring set. Instruction on making wrapped loops will be given if needed.

You can do much more than put them on a string, and at Bamba Beads there are a number of bead jewellery classes where you can learn to do just that. With different kinds of threads and threading systems, you can turn those gorgeous little stones and shapes into artistic creations by taking advantage of the bead jewellery classes. All instruction sessions are geared for everyone, from those at the beginner level to people who have had experience with making accessories already, but who still want to gain knowledge of the craft and get their creative juices fired and flowing. In the bead jewellery making classes, people will get direction on potential projects, inspirational ideas, tips and techniques from the fantastic designers, who are also the instructors.

Bamba Beads run a variety of jewellery making classes Bristol. These courses cover a range of different styles and techniques and are taught on a weekly basis where the number of students can vary depending on the particular time of year. Bamba beads provide all the tools and parts necessary for the work, and the beads can be chosen from our wide selection, although not included in the study fee. In the beginner’s class, the basics are taught: earrings using headpins and earring hooks, a necklace using tiger tail with an attached clasp, a leather pendant necklace, and a bracelet on elastic thread fastened securely. Wire wrapping technique is taught from beginner through intermediate to advanced. Jewellery making classes extend beyond simple necklaces and bracelets, and you can learn tiara making along with the techniques of wrapping wire around a tiara or headband base, and incorporating beads in order to create your own personal fantastic designs. The silver plated wire and tiara/headband base are included in the price of the class. Imagine being able to make your own personal tiara for your own or a friend’s wedding or other special formal event! As well as the traditional tiara, you can learn to make a hair vine, which are secured by using hair grips at either end. There is also the hair grip class - lovely way to accessorise your hair with hair grips that slide into your hair around your hair style. Bamba Beads even offer chainmaille techniques instruction which once used to make armour can now be used to make decorative jewellery by simply linking jump-rings together to make a variety of weaves.
